About Me

I’m a cancer.

I’m 25 going on 53.

I love tulle and skirts. But I dont wear them often. Chub-rub.

I have a dog named Vanna White. But I think she’s more of a chihuahua version of Farrah Fawcett.

Can you see the resemblance?

Can you see the resemblance?

I have watched the tv show LOST and the movie American President so many times, I can quote both. But it really annoys me when someone recites lines while watching tv or movies, so I restrain myself.

I’m getting married in September. My mom thinks our venue’s name sounds like a, “Garbage Dump.” It’s really a vintage thrift store. But now I’m curious to see what people will wear…

I want to be a muse for a Jens Lekman song.

My iPhone case features Ron Swanson and my ringtone was recently changed to “Goodbye Little Sebastian.”

I’ve been to Disney three times in my life. During one of those times, my family feared that my sister was kidnapped by some tourists.

My current goal in life is to become a digital nomad. Though, I dont think my dog would like that much.

I make the best popcorn in the world. Everyone knows this. I know how to perfectly portion the salt to butter to popcorn kernel ratio. I can also go on and on about what kind of popcorn kernel is best.

My fiance finally convinced me to the “cut the cord” (as in, ditch the cable). I still miss my weekly fill of Lifetime Original Movies and House Hunters International.

My favorite book is “You Shall Know Our Velocity” by Dave Eggers. Nothing is better. Though, Neil Gaiman makes a strong fight on occasion.

I volunteer for this awesome dog rescue. We foster and I am an adoption counselor. After 7 or 8 fosters, I still cry when they leave me.

There isn’t a city better than Chicago. Then again, I haven’t been to many cities. I haven’t even been west of Iowa (unless you count the time my mom took me to Arizona when I was 6 months… which I dont).

My grandparents were bad asses. My paternal grandfather (originally from Sicily) was snuck in to the US via a Canadian train by my grandmother. My maternal grandfather’s house used to be a “house of ill repute” until he turned it in to a farm and a breeding facility (8 kids? yikes).

I want adventure. Above anything, I seek it. I crave it.  I do not like to be in one place for long and I hate over-planning. This blog is about my under-planned life. I do hope you enjoy it.
